A section of Rob Shelton Blvd. leading to Founders Park Road in Dripping Springs will be closed to through traffic beginning after Christmas due to scheduled construction at the park, according to a Dec. 23 news release by the city.

The city is in the process of constructing a new driveway to the Founders Memorial Park pool and the neighboring Pound House Historical Farmstead, located at 570 Founders Park Road. Both the park and Pound House will remain open during the project.

The north most section of Rob Shelton will be closed for about one month, as the city completes the first phase of the project, according to the release. Traffic control and detour signs will be resent during the temporary closure. The road is expected to reopen once the second phase of the project begins, at which time Founders Park Road will be closed temporarily.
