Austin ISD's Facility Master Plan vote, MAD Greens coming to Sunset Valley and more things Southwest Austinites should know this week

- Austin's State of Our Environment report, published on Thursday, March 30, found that Austin's environment remains preserved and protected despite its growth. However, the construction of SH 45 SW may affect water quality in the Flint Ridge Cave and the Edwards Aquifer.
- MAD Greens, a restaurant specializing in gourmet, made-to-order salads, fresh juices, wraps, paninis, sandwiches and soups, will open in Sunset Valley in early May.
- The Austin ISD board of trustees is scheduled to approve its updated Facility Master Plan, or FMP, on Monday, April 3. The FMP outlines the current use and future modernization of all 130 schools in AISD. Here are six takeaways from last week's final FMP presentation to the board.
