Texas Department of Transportation crews are working to level I-35 main lanes and to complete final paving of the highway near the new Oltorf Street Bridge in April, according to a news release by the department.
The $42.6 million project began in February 2017 and is scheduled to be completed by midyear. It has included the construction of a new Oltorf bridge over the highway as well as new elevated ramps onto I-35. The project also saw renovations of frontage roads and I-35 main lanes in the area.
According to TxDOT, sections of the highway’s center median were replaced in March, and overhead signs have been installed on I-35 south of Oltorf.
