Dripping Springs ISD cancels school Feb. 3

Dripping Springs ISD has canceled all classes and activities for Feb. 3 ahead of anticipated sever winter weather.

The district made the announcement on Feb. 2. It follows similar announcements from other Central Texas districts, including Austin, Georgetown and Lake Travis ISDs.

The National Weather Service is forecasting an arctic front will hit the Austin area on Feb. 3, bringing freezing temperatures and dangerous road conditions.

Dripping Springs ISD officials said they will make a decision about Friday's classes on Feb. 3.
