AC Marriott Southwest, the hotel under construction at the center of the Lantana Place mixed-use development in Southwest Austin at 7415 Southwest Parkway, is on schedule to open in the first half of 2021.

According to Austin-based Merriman Pitt Anderson, which is overseeing the hotel project, the 72,300-square-foot building will be five stories tall and have 135 rooms.

Other hotel features will include a pool and outdoor patio area with a sky lounge. The hotel will also have food service, a bar, a fitness center and meeting rooms for guests.

Overall, Lantana Place includes an additional 140,000 square feet of office space and 60,000 square feet of retail on a 35-acre property along Southwest Parkway. Stratus Properties, the mixed-use center’s developer, also owns land across the street from the project but has not yet released plans or a timeline for its future development.
