Following four consecutive days of declining new coronavirus confirmations in Travis County, June 1 saw 88 new cases, the highest single-day count since the pandemic began in March. The new cases bring the cumulative total in the county to 3,360.

COVID-19 hospitalizations also increased to 97 in the Austin metro, after the number dropped to 79 over the weekend, which had been its lowest point in the month of May.

There have also been 1,217 reported recoveries and 93 total coronavirus deaths in Travis County.
