Dripping Springs City Council unanimously voted to officially appoint Laura Mueller city attorney at a Jan. 21 meeting of the council. Mueller’s hire represents the first time the city has had its own full-time attorney.
Mueller has served as an attorney in a contract role with the city for several years as a representative of Bojorquez law firm, from which several attorneys have contracted with Dripping Springs over the years.
In order to make Mueller a city employee, the position was created as a new municipal office by the council. While Mueller has technically been employed by the city since a Nov. 19 vote, her title only became official at the body’s most recent meeting.
