Austin City Limits Music Festival
Austin’s annual music festival will return to Zilker Park for two weekends in October. This year’s festival headliners include Chris Stapleton, Blink-182, Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan.

Presented by the German-Texan Heritage Society, this year’s Oktoberfest will have German food and drinks, family-friendly fall activities and performances by Yodel Blitz, Walburg Boys and Off the Grid.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra will host its annual Halloween Children’s Concert at the Long Center’s Dell Hall. The event will begin with kid-friendly Halloween activities on the H-E-B Terrace. This year’s concert will feature “The Composer is Dead,” a musical murder mystery where every member of the orchestra is a suspect. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes as there will be a contest with prizes.

The annual Roots & Wings Festival is a series of family-friendly educational events spanning two weeks focusing on trees, plants, fungi, soil health, pollinators, birds, bats and more. At this fundraiser for cancer research, cyclists can choose to enter 20 to 100-mile toutes through Downtown Austin and the Texas Hill Country. Runners and walkers will can enter a timed 5K or 10K route around Lady Bird Lake. All courses end at Auditorium Shores where there will be food and drinks.

The ZACH Performing Arts Academy, a student program of the ZACH Theatre, will present "Into the Woods," a production in which fairy tale characters cross paths on their journeys through an enchanted forest. The all-ages show will feature songs like "No One is Alone" and "Giants in the Sky.”

The Mexi-Arte Museum’s annual Dia de los Muertos celebration downtown will have music, dancers, a parade, an art market, food and drinks and more. The event will begin with the Viva la Vida Parade at noon.
