Editor’s note: This story has been updated with comment from Nicholas Edwards who plays Kristoff in Disney’s ‘Frozen.’ Information about the production’s North American Tour has also been updated.

Tickets are on sale to see Disney’s "Frozen" on the Bass Concert Hall stage this month.

Disney Theatrical Group will present its Broadway production beginning June 5; performances will play through June 16. Tickets can be purchased at the Bass Concert Hall box office and online at texasperformingarts.org or broadwayinaustin.com.

The Austin shows are part of the North American Tour, which will conclude in September in San Jose, California. Austin is one of six remaining cities on the tour and is the only Texas stop left. Four "Frozen" productions are currently playing worldwide, including Tokyo, London and Hamburg, Germany. The show features songs from the 2013 film "Frozen" and a dozen new songs written by the film’s songwriters.

The "Frozen" cast and crew just wrapped up shows in San Antonio. Nicholas Edwards who plays Kristoff in the show, said he looks forward to their two weeks in Austin.

“I'm definitely excited to see how the Austin audiences enjoy the show and see what they're like,” Edwards said. “We were just in San Antonio, so not too far away, and the audiences were amazing so I imagine it's going to be the same.”

Edwards made his Broadway debut with the "Frozen" ensemble in 2019, about a year after the show began touring in North America. He toured with them for a year and, after some time away working on other projects, rejoined the "Frozen" cast in April, now playing the role of Kristoff full-time.

Edwards said there is no age limit to enjoy "Frozen." One of his favorite parts of the show is Kristoff’s entrance.

“A misconception people have when they see the name ‘Frozen’ is that it's an on-ice show or only for kids. But it's not,” Edwards said. “It's a full Broadway-scale production with incredible scenic design, lighting design, incredible special effects, and the story is just huge and majestic. And with the full Broadway orchestra, it sounds incredible, it looks amazing. So, it's really a show that anyone can enjoy.”
