What's happening
The Nov. 5 election will feature elections for mayor and five council members representing geographic districts around the city.
Individual contests include Southeast Austin's District 2, North Central Austin's districts 4 and 7, Northwest Austin's District 6, and West and Central Austin's District 10. A map of City Council districts with an address search tool is available online.
Eligible Austin residents have until Oct. 7 to register to vote in the November election. Early voting ahead of Election Day will run from Oct. 21 through Nov. 1. More information on the election and voter registration is available from Travis, Williamson and Hays counties.

Ahead of the election, the city, the resident-led Ethics Review Commission and the League of Women Voters Austin Area are sponsoring candidate forums for each of Austin's six election contests.
The moderated panels can be attended in-person, and will be broadcast on ATXN and FM 88.7.
All events will begin at 6:30 p.m. and include:
- District 7: Sept. 5 at the Northwest Recreation Center, 2913 Northland Drive, Austin
- District 4: Sept. 19 at the Austin Permitting & Development Center, 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive, Austin
- District 2: Sept. 25 at the Dove Springs Recreation Center, 5801 Ainez Drive, Austin
- District 10: Sept. 30 at the Dell Jewish Community Center, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin
- Mayor: Oct. 3 at City Hall, 301 W. Second St., Austin
- District 6: Oct. 7 at Hope Presbyterian Church, 11512 Olson Drive, Austin
