Owned by Jose Brito and Lucrecia Federico, the food truck opened at Wildfire Park serving modern street food with Venezuelan influences. Menu items include arepa and bao with a variety of fillings, as well as caramelized French toast, a brioche burger and garlic potatoes. The scratch kitchen also makes its bread in-house.

The fast-casual macaroni and cheese restaurant serves a variety of cheesy and creative macaronis, crispy salads and various desserts. The restaurant is part of a growing list of dining offerings at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, which offers over 20 food and beverage options as well as a convention center, a salon, retail shopping and a water park.

The upscale, California-based sushi restaurant opened its first Austin location downtown. The menu features an extensive sashimi list, rolls and several entrees plus an Austin-specific item called the Waterloo Ichi Roll made with tuna, yellowtail, snow crab, mango, avocado, cucumber, kaiware, chili oil, sriracha and spring greens. The drink menu includes Japanese beer and whiskey, handcrafted cocktails and sake.

The 1970s-themed neighborhood eatery from Lobos Hospitality serves classic American diner fare inspired by the team’s family recipes. Menu offerings include breakfast staples such as French toast, pancakes, omelets and eggs Benedict, as well as sandwiches, salads, sides and desserts. Fresh-squeezed juices, coffee, tea, cocktails, wine and beer round out the menu.

David Doughie’s Bagelry

The food truck opened at the Lustre Pearl South. Co-owners Devin and Ashley Broder have operated the Austin bagel shop at Texas Farmers Market locations in Lakeline and Mueller. There will be a variety of house-cured and smoked fish, an expanded schmear selection and a variety of hot egg sandwiches. The truck also features a special menu focused on shareable foods like bagel chips.
