A new restaurant bringing modern Chinese cuisine to Austin opened in the Zilker neighborhood Nov. 8.

On the menu

Zoé Tong’s menu focuses on “reimagined” Chinese dishes that incorporate local Texas produce. The menu’s star items include scallion tortillas, pan-seared dumplings and crispy duck.

For main dishes, Zoé Tong offers Sticky BBQ Ribs, Miso Hoisin Black Cod, Rohan Duck and Texas Wagyu. The menu also features rice and noodle bowls, lamb, shrimp, potato and mushroom skewers and a caviar bar.

What else?

Zoé Tong offers complimentary valet parking to guests. Reservations are recommended, but the restaurant accepts walk-ins at the bar.

Meet the owners

Zoé Tong is helmed by husband-and-wife duo Matthew Hyland and Simone Tong, both of whom are former New York chefs. The menu is inspired by Tong’s childhood in China and Singapore.
