Located where the former La Traviata called home, a new French-Italian-inspired bistro called Gina's on Congress will open in December.

Award-winning Executive Chef Jason Tallent will debut his menu featuring pasta, tartare, carpaccio, mussels and frites, and more—along with special cuts of meat, such as veal chops.

The wooden bar area will offer wines from small vineyards and wineries, cocktails, and espresso drinks.

“I’m excited to be the next steward of this historied address," Gina’s On Congress's proprietor Cameron Lockley said in a news release. "I frequented La Traviata when I was a student at The University of Texas and hope that I can, in some way, create a place that delivers the warm hospitality and delicious experiences [La Traviata] was known for.”
