Austin ISD officials deem former campus ‘surplus,’ monetization in future

The AISD board of trustees passed a resolution 7-1 to deem the former Rosedale School campus, located at 2117 W. 49th St., Austin, as surplus. Officials said it no longer accommodates “future district needs." The resolution paves the way for district officials to monetize the campus through the lease or sale of the 4.62 acre tract of land, according to district documents.
