Switchyards, a coworking space company with locations throughout the United States, will make its Texas debut this June.
The details
Switchyards Austin will open in a 3,400-square-foot 1940s warehouse in Hyde Park on June 23.
According to the company’s website, the neighborhood work clubs combine “our favorite parts of working out of a coffee shop, a college library, and a boutique hotel lobby” in one space. According to a news release, the Hyde Park location will feature cozy nooks, a cafe area, a library, phone booths and a meeting room.

“We’re excited to bring Switchyards to Austin,” said Switchyards CEO and Founder Michael Tavani in a news release. “There’s a growing need for that ‘third place for work’ in this city and beyond—a space that’s not your home or office, but somewhere to mix it up. Austin is one of our favorite cities in the world, chock-full of iconic neighborhoods, so it was an obvious choice for us to plant a flag here.”
