Torchy’s Tacos

The Torchy’s Tacos on Guadalupe Street near The University of Texas at Austin campus has closed its doors for good. The company did not renew its lease in November, due to planned changes in the area, according to a sign posted on its door in the days before the closure. Previous reports from the company indicate that rising rents throughout the city contributed to the chain’s plans to close the location.
