Austin Chinese restaurant Zoé Tong and its accompanying barbecue food truck Sí Baby-Q will close at the end of this year, according to its social media pages.

Two-minute impact

Zoé Tong's owners, chefs Simone Tong and Matthew Hyland, announced the Dec. 31 closure in an email to customers.

"This decision was not made lightly, but it comes with profound gratitude and a deep appreciation for the community we've had the privilege of serving," the message reads.

To close out its service, seasonal dinner and drink specials have been added to the menu.

Sí Baby-Q, an Asian barbecue truck on Zoé Tong's patio run by Tong and Terry Black’s BBQ alum Jonathan Lagos, will also close. The last day of service will be Dec. 29, and its owners are actively searching for a new spot, according to an Instagram post.

Zoé Tong opened in November 2023. Sí Baby-Q opened in May.
