Ralphie’s on Congress

Old and new generations alike can hop into the world of “A Christmas Story” at this pop-up bar with nods to the classic movie’s inside jokes. Mr. Bo-Jingles

Austinites can step into a holiday capsule inspired by Jerry Jeff Walker’s 1968 tune, “Mr. Bojangles” with music memorabilia, a life-size Texas flag and candy cane-wrapped columns. The bar menu mixes Texas flavors with holiday traditions such as Rudolph’s Eggnog, Yule Mule and Cringle’s Hot Cocoa, and is open to the public every weekend with special events, including comedy, karaoke and more.Candyland


Cosmic Saltillo has transformed into the childhood board game to give customers the ultimate holiday experience. With special drinks including melted snowman, gum drop pass and honey pear cottage, enjoy the curated decorations and a playable menu.Get Lit

Kitty Cohen’s is hosting its sixth annual Hanukkah-themed bar with a special drink menu and decorations. Customers can indulge in l’chaim, macabee’s knees or one of the 12 other specialty drinks.

Miracle on 5th Street

From a snow ball old fashioned to photo opportunities with Santa Claus’s throne, this ticketed event offers tables on a first-come, first-served basis with reservation availability for parties with eight or more guests.Reindeer Room

With festive photo ops, nostalgia decor and holiday cocktails, this pop-up bar creates a retro Christmas scene. Attendees can taste specialty drinks including Sugar Plum Spritz and Candy Cane Martini and take photos with the shot ski bar. Tickets are required for entrance.The Nightcap Before Christmas


Fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas can take a trip to the movie’s Halloween Town with six handcrafted cocktails and movie-themed decor. Drinks include What’s This, a pumpkin batter cocktail, and Frog’s Breath, a smoky mezcal potion.

Rudolph’s Road House

This pop up bar is making its second annual appearance with 10 holiday cocktails served in Christmas-themed mugs and glasses. Attendees can order certain specialty drinks without alcohol, including the vegan North Pole Nog eggnog. From a Barbie Christmas tree to a wall of holiday sweaters, there are plenty of festive photo opportunities to pair with a drink.

The west Austin bar has transformed into a holiday getaway with limited-edition cocktails, including The Cranberry Soda made with Roku Japanese gin, cranberry, citrus and rosemary. As stated on its Instagram page, individuals can find exciting prizes hidden in the underground lounge in the form of messages in bottles that can be traded in to a staff member for a reward.

Sippin’ Santa

This tiki-themed holiday pop-up bar is first-come, first-served but is available for reservations for larger groups. Customers can sip on holiday cocktails such as Sippin’ Santa and Jingle Bird, a cocktail with Aged Demerara Rum, Amaro, Lemon, Orange and Gingerbread Mix.Lala’s Little Nugget


Austinites have been able to celebrate Christmas year-round since 1972 with this local spot decked out with Christmas lights, ornaments hanging from the ceiling and Santa Claus and his reindeer on the roof of the bar’s building. The bar recently opened a second location in south Austin to spread the holiday cheer.
