LGBTQ-owned record store now open in East Austin

LGBTQ-owned record store Sunshine Vinyl opened in East Austin, helmed by Luca Kisielius. The grand opening June 15 consisted of pizza, beer and live music.

The record store offers new and used vinyl across a variety of genres and plans to host events. Kisielius describes the store as a "welcoming and safe space" where customers can "enjoy music as it's meant to be heard."

The store's walls are adorned with art from local artist Phillip Nichols, currently featuring portraits of LGBTQ artists for Pride Month.
