The Austin-based athletic clothing brand Outdoor Voices has closed its brick-and-mortar stores, pivoting to online-only.

The brand was founded in 2014 in New York City before relocating in 2017.

Outdoor Voices has just over a dozen stores spread across the country, with its flagship located at 1204 S. Congress Ave., Austin.

The store held a 50% off sale starting March 14 following the news of the closures.

This follows a slew of layoffs in the Austin area as dating app company Bumble Inc. laid off more than 300 employees in February, and a contract was ended for a local YouTube Music support team.
