Construction has begun for a new location of the Firehouse Animal Health Center in Kyle.

The exact address for the new location is yet to be determined, but it is being built on the south side of Kohlers Crossing, across the street from the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center.

The current address in Kyle for the Austin-founded FIrehouse Animal Health Center is 4100 Everett St., Ste. 100, and a press release from the company states a ground breaking ceremony for the new facility will take place in February, with estimated completion of construction to be in November.

The release states the new facility will double the size of the current location to 6,300 square feet, making it the largest clinic of the franchise’s five locations.

The goal for the Kyle location, according to the release, is for the new facility to become a 24-hour animal hospital, as “there are very few ER options in the immediate area,” the release states. 512-410-0616. www.firehousekyle.com
