With all of the polling locations reporting results from the March primary election, incumbent Erin Zwiener has won the Democratic race for the Texas House of Representatives District 45.
Zwiener led the race with 71.02% of the votes, with opponent Chevo Pastrano receiving the remaining 28.98%.

"I am honored that once again Democrats in House District 45 have overwhelmingly chosen me as their nominee," Zwiener said in a statement. "The results are a testament to the efforts of all our supporters. Thank you to my family, my team, and to the countless volunteers who helped with my campaign. I’m grateful to now be able to turn my full attention to the general election and repudiating far right extremism."

Zwiener will face off with Republican Tennyson Moreno in the November general election. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Early voting totals for the Texas House of Representatives District 45 seat in the March primary election have been released.
What you need to know
The District 45 seat was on the ballot with two democratic candidates running.
According to unofficial early voting results, incumbent Erin Zwiener leads the race with 72.75% of the votes. Opponent Chevo Pastrano has the remaining 27.25% votes.
What else?
In early voting, there were 7,156 ballots cast countywide, which represents 5.08% of Hays County's 175,737 voters.
Totals from ballots cast on March 5 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
