A press release issued by San Marcos CISD states that the district will remain closed at least through Feb. 17.

The release further states that all district campuses and offices will continue to be closed due to power outages and weather conditions in the area.

No school, in person or remote, will take place, and Feb. 17 will be a day off for all SMCISD staff, the release states.

"SMCISD will continue to monitor the situation and will provide an update tomorrow, for Thursday, Feb. 18," the release states. "Our website provider is experiencing technical difficulties causing the website to not have up to date information. We will continue to update families by phone, text, social media, and our San Marcos CISD district app."
