Officials at San Marcos CISD have issued a notification stating all of its campuses and offices will remain closed through Feb. 19.

No school, be it in person or remote learning, will take place until Feb. 22, the notification states.

It added that SMCISD will utilize the Texas Education Agency's weather waiver for district closures from Feb. 16-18, and the district will consider Feb. 19 a bad weather day.

"This will allow SMCISD to maintain our current academic calendar for the remainder of the year," the district stated. "But most importantly, this allows our families to focus on their well-being and safety during another unprecedented situation,"
