After a three-month process, the Greater San Marcos Partnership board named Jason Giulietti as its new president.

Giulietti first joined GSMP as vice president and has held the temporary interim president position for the last two months, according to a March 3 press release from GSMP.

Prior to working for GSMP, Giulietti held the position of vice president of business recruitment at the Connecticut Economic Resource Center Inc. He has also been nationally recognized by Consultant Connect as one of the top 50 economic developers in the country. Most recently Giulietti was selected as one of the 40 under Forty by the International Economic Development Council in 2019.

Giulietti will be replacing Adriana Cruz, who left GSMP after almost seven years, to take the role of executive director of Economic Development and Tourism for the state of Texas in the Office of the Governor. Giulietti will begin his role immediately.
