Owners Nancy and Anthony Romero have opened their stretch business' second location in Buda. They first opened in Cedar Park in 2019. Flux specializes in myofascial stretching, a technique that focuses on relieving muscle tightness. The Buda Economic Development Corporation's new co-working space and program will offer mentorship, funding opportunities, specialized training and networking opportunities for local entrepreneurs.Brevity Coffee

The San Antonio-based drive-thru coffee chain is set to open in Kyle later this year. Owner Fred Corpening said they expect to break ground in May and open in late 2025. Brevity Coffee serves hand-crafted specialty coffees including breves, lattes and mochas as well as flavor-infused energy drinks, flavored tea, Italian sodas and smoothies.Relocations


S&E Academy

The locally-owned gym relocated to Kyle from 4354 Dacy Lane in Buda. Strength & Endurance Academy founder Irma Avila opened the business in 2019, and her co-owner Chris Perez joined the team in 2020. The gym offers personal training, group classes and an open gym.In the News

Inspired Minds Art Center

The community art center in downtown Buda celebrated its fifth anniversary in January. Co-owners Sinead Whitehead and Susan Guerra opened Inspired Minds Art Center to provide a space for artistic expression, community engagement, and creative education. The center offers diverse programs in visual arts, theatre and music for all ages and abilities.Wendy’s


Buda City Council unanimously approved a Specific Use Permit for a new location of the fast food restaurant near the intersection of East Main Street and the I-35 frontage road on Jan. 7. The proposed site plan includes a 2,236-square-foot building with 21 parking spaces and a wrap-around drive-thru lane that would accommodate at least 11 vehicles. A timeline was not discussed.Premier Cuts

Locally owned hair salon Premier Cuts temporarily closed its Kyle location on Jan. 29. The business will reopen at a new spot this summer. Premier Cuts Kyle will move from its space next to the H-E-B Plus at 5401 FM 1626, Kyle, to the Kyle 150 Business Park at 340 E. FM 150, Kyle.

The relocation is due to the grocery store’s expansion, Premier Cuts office administrator Michelle Zimmerhanzel told Community Impact, in an email.
