The shop was locally-owned by MJ Keith, and offered a selection of Kava-based beverages that could have been mixed with peach nectar, cherry-flavored or pineapple juice.
Kava Kava Down also sold carnival-style foods such as street tacos, pretzels, cotton candy and queso.
