Tap In—a locally owned family event venue—is bringing golf simulation to Buda’s Sunfield community.

How we got here

Buda City Council gave the green light the venue on Jan. 2.

The city’s economic development cooperation is also contributing $150,000 up front as a financial incentive for capital improvements and a qualified financial incentive equal to 100% of the sales tax revenue generated by the company—which is capped at $400,000—according to a press release.

The details

Tap In, LLC is owned by husband and wife Robert and Jennifer Wible. The venue will have an indoor driving range of 9-18 custom-designed holes along with electronic hitting bays available through membership and a la carte rentals.

The 7,000-square-foot venue will offer a full bar and a secondary drink station at the ninth hole, according to a press release. Tap In will also have a food truck, which will serve pizza and wings. The food truck will be operated by Tap In partner Harlan Scott, the restaurateur and consultant behind San Marcos and Austin’s Industry and Valentino’s.

Quote of note

Wible said they were “thrilled” to open in Buda.

“We live in the area and consider Buda to be our own community. There is a much-needed opportunity to provide entertainment to growing families in the region,” Wible said in a news release.
