The Therapy Center of Buda, or TCOB, has expanded access to neurodiversity-affirming therapy in the Hays County area by moving to a new location at 3480 Jack C. Hays Trail in Buda.

The locally owned therapy practice has operated since 2008 and was previously located at 1750 Ranch to Market Road 967, Ste. A, in Buda. The new office’s location makes its services more accessible for families in Kyle and northern Hays County, according to a news release.
“Therapy Center of Buda has been part of this community since 2008, and remaining connected to Buda was incredibly important to us,” Amy Grant, owner and clinical director of TCOB, said in the release. “At the same time, Kyle is growing incredibly quickly, and we know many families are traveling farther than they should have to for affirming therapy. Being right at the edge of these two communities puts us in a really unique position to serve both.”
The details
TCOB provides support for a diverse range of developmental and communication needs, according to the release, including:
- Speech-language and occupational therapy services
- Support for Autistic and ADHD clients
- Communication differences
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication, or AAC
- Executive functioning differences
- Sensory processing differences
The practice focuses on neurodiversity-affirming care, with therapy individualized around each person’s communication, sensory needs, autonomy, strengths and quality of life, according to the release. The therapy focuses on communication, self-advocacy and meaningful participation skills that matter to the individual client.

“We want therapy to be a place where clients don't have to hide who they are in order to be considered successful,” Grant said in the release. “For our Autistic and ADHD clients especially, our goal isn't to teach them to look less Autistic or less ADHD. It's to help them communicate, advocate for themselves, access the supports they need and feel understood.”
The new location was also chosen to model a more comfortable, home-like setting, rather than a traditional medical-office environment, according to the release.
“It's a new address, but we're still the same practice, the same team and the same commitment to our clients and families,” Grant said. “We're excited to make this space our home and, hopefully, a place our families feel at home, too.”
