1. Bad Habits Card Company now open in Georgetown
Bad Habits Card Co. opened this month off Williams Drive in Georgetown.
Owned by Brodie Sachs, the business is geared toward collectors and players to buy, sell and trade cards—both sports and trading card games. The shop offers a selection of sealed sports and TCG products, as well as single cards.
Sachs plans to host TCG tournaments in the space, according to a Georgetown Chamber of Commerce news release.

2. Tejas Meat Supply closes Round Rock restaurant, butcher shop
The Round Rock location of Tejas Meat Supply announced its closure via social media Aug. 22.
The full service butcher shop and restaurant opened in Round Rock in mid-March, offering fresh cuts of beef, pork and wild game from Texas ranches as well as a selection of house-made sausages, jerky and charcuterie.

3. COTALAND Theme Park to host grand opening event in late September
COTALAND Theme Park is officially opening on Sept. 26, bringing racing, rollercoasters and attractions to Circuit of The Americas, or COTA, according to a news release.

4. Scheels holds ribbon cutting ahead of Aug. 29 opening
Representatives from sporting goods store Scheels cut the ribbon on the company’s newest store in Cedar Park alongside local government and business leaders Aug. 25. The store will open to the public Aug. 29.
5. Amazon picks East Austin for multi-billion dollar robotics facility
Amazon is bringing a multi-billion dollar advanced robotics manufacturing facility to East Austin, the company announced Aug. 19. The project will be an anchor development in the newly annexed Dog's Head, and was first detailed by city officials during recent planning and financing reviews for that district.

6. Hutto, Williamson County poised for $674M Blue Origin facility
Williamson County commissioners unanimously approved an economic development agreement Aug. 20 for Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ space technology company, to possibly construct a facility on Innovation Boulevard in Hutto.
