Dr. Lacey Dupré, who has operated Lacey Dupré Acupuncture since September 2021 in San Marcos, has relocated and expanded the business to become Jade Seed Wellness, 300 S. CM Allen Parkway, Ste. A, San Marcos.

A grand opening for the new space is slated for Dec. 3. In addition to the traditional and needle-free acupuncture practice that also offers consultations in Chinese medicine, Dupré will bring on a massage therapist and a physical therapy chiropractor to help grow the practice, she said.

“[There will be] facials and hopefully some Pilates and yoga. So it's going to be a whole-body wellness center,” Dupré said.

There will be a retail component at Jade Seed Wellness as well, featuring traditional Chinese medicine, botanical therapies, wellness reference books and self-care tools such as the teishin, a handmade sterling silver tool that does not pierce the skin but provides acupuncture pressure.

"Think of it as almost a giant toothpick or a tiny ink pen. It's kind of between those two and does not insert into the skin," Dupré said.

While adding a wider range of therapy to the practice, Dupré said acupuncture will remain center stage.

“Acupuncture is central to the wellness center. I’ll bring on other therapists as well as wellness classes and retail, but acupuncture is the main offering,” Dupré said.
