The details
The outdoor shopping event will be located alongside Heritage Trail in the park. From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays from June through October, visitors can shop local vendors along the newly opened trail.
The market will feature goods like fresh produce, plants and handmade art, all from local makers. Vendor applications are open on the city's website.
One more thing
The completed Heritage Trail project is a 1-mile addition to the Brushy Creek Trail system, linking the west side of Round Rock to the city’s downtown.
Project features include a 10-foot wide trail from from Chisholm Trail Road to Mays Street; a pedestrian bridge with overlook to Brushy Creek; and improvements at Bathing Beach Park, Chisholm Trail Crossing Park and Memorial Park.
Funding for the project came from a 2013 voter-approved bond and an additional $6.3 million grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
