Community members gathered at the city of Round Rock’s Kinningham House on Oct. 8 to hear from candidates in the Nov. 5 Round Rock ISD board of trustees election in a public forum.

What happened?

The forum was hosted by the Round Rock ISD Council of PTAs and the Round Rock Chamber. It was moderated by Community Impact General Manager Amy Bryant, who oversees the Round Rock and Pflugerville-Hutto publications.

Candidates who will appear on the ballot responded to questions submitted by the community through the chamber.

Candidates answered questions relating to the district’s curriculum strategy and student success; educator employment and retention efforts; finances, budget and debt servicing; economic development and workforce readiness; safety in schools; the role and outcomes of the school board; and the needs and resources for families and community partners.
