The Chasco Family YMCA in Round Rock unveiled its expanded campus Sept. 13 as the organization opened its new outdoor aquatics complex, Youth Program Center and renovated preschool, according to a news release.

The overview

The expansion was highlighted by the YMCA’s $5 million pool complex, or Carl and Deanna Miller Family Outdoor Pool, which spans more than 21,000 square feet and features water slides, a splash pad and cabanas.

Improvements to the Chaney Family Preschool include more space for a new library; a dance and movement studio; a classroom; and an outdoor playscape. The new Youth Program Center, meanwhile, will serve as a place for homeschool and summer camp activities, featuring a woodworking shop, cooking training kitchen, Lego play area and 3D printing center.

Along with the new buildings, the YMCA, located at 1801 I-35, Round Rock, also broke ground on new administrative offices.
