Two-minute impact
Chasco Family YMCA board members held a groundbreaking for the new aquatics center, to be named the Carl and Deanna Miller Family Pool, on Feb. 23. It will be located behind the existing Chasco Family YMCA facility at 1812 N. Mays St., Round Rock, and is expected to open in October.
It replaces a parking lot, and visitors to the facility will no longer be able to park along North Mays Street once completed.
The specifics
The aquatics facility will provide a multidepth pool for members and their guests, in addition to other features:
- In-water play structure
- Shaded deck and outdoor cabana
- Shallow-water lounge
- Spray park
- Volleyball area
- Water slide
