Rawlings said she connected with the creator of HairWeavon, Yinka Martin, who created the business in 2011 to assist men and women facing hair loss. Rawlings said she herself has lost her hair due to alopecia and is looking forward to helping Round Rock-area clients.
"From something that started as two women from two different countries connecting on Instagram, I am looking forward to opening the first HairWeavon in the United States and connecting with the hair loss community in Central Texas," Rawlings said. "I will be providing them with the support and resources I wish I had when I lost my hair three years ago."
Once her business opens, Rawlings will offer private consultations with clients to choose their preferred wig or hair topper style.
