Bonita Hall has been named the city of Pflugerville's new People + Culture director, announced by city staff during Pflugerville City Council's Nov. 12 meeting. As People + Culture director, Hall will oversee the city's human resources and personnel issues related to compensation, recruitment, retention, employee relations and employee benefits, according to a Nov. 13 news release.

With more than 19 years of experience as a human resources director, Hall has worked in the cities of Longview, Cleburne, Pearland, Odessa and Celina, per the release. Alongside a bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University and a masters of public administration from The University of North Texas, she has also been recognized as a Society for Human Resources Certified Professional, per the release.

Hall officially began serving in her role Nov. 13.
