Round Rock ISD announced July 15 the cancellation of all summer extracurricular and campus activities.

The decision follows a July 14 Travis County order which suspends on-campus instruction for all public and private schools until at least Sept. 7. Included in the order is a suspension of extracurricular sports and other in-person activities until schools reopen for on-campus instruction.

"Coaches and directors for athletics and fine arts are planning to reach out to students with virtual options soon," a district news release states. "Round Rock ISD will continue to follow guidance from state and local health authorities, the Texas Education Agency and the University Interscholastic League."
