The city of Hutto announced June 30 it has canceled "unnecessary public gatherings" and events at the Brushy Creek Amphitheater, with the cancellations attributed to rising COVID-19 case numbers.

Canceled events include the city's Tailgates & Tunes summer concert series at the Brushy Creek Amphitheater.

Public gatherings have been limited to include only those related to city governance and operations, per the release.

Hutto officials said in the release that the city anticipates rescheduling community events for a later date "when it is safe and responsible to organize larger public gatherings."

“We are currently working with our partners at RS3 and the City of Hutto to reschedule our shows for later this summer or early fall, including a much-deserved fireworks celebration to kick it off,” said Jennifer Stevens, CEO of JHL and organizer of Tailgates & Tunes, in the release.
