The city of Pflugerville has several ongoing and planned transportation projects as part of its capital improvement program. The program helps identify infrastructure needs in the city and secure funding sources and a work schedule for the projects. Check out some of the recent transportation CIP projects below.

Completed projects

Neighborhood Street Reconstruction 2

Project: Reconstruct of Great Basin Avenue, Bushmills Road, Picadilly Drive, Pflugerville Loop, Edgemere Drive, Windermere Drive and Yellow Sage Street.

Update: Project is complete

Colorado Sand Drive

Project: The construction of a .53 mile roadway between Copper Mine Drive and Lone Star Ranch Boulevard.

Update: Construction is ongoing and will be complete this year.

Kelly Lane Phase 2

Project: This project will widen Kelly Lane from two to four lanes from Falcon Pointe Drive to east of Moorlynch Avenue.

Project: Reconstruction of Grand National Avenue, Rowe Loop, Sullivan Street, Dalshank Street, Algreg Street, Mashburn Street, Option Avenue, Diablo Drive and Butler Drive.

Future projects

FM 685


Project: The 2020 General Obligation Bond Program project included a corridor study, preliminary engineering and design. The project includes lane realignment, intersection changes, improvements to shared use paths, right of way acquisition and utility relocation.

Update: The schematic design is 30% complete, and coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation is ongoing.

Kelly Lane Phase 3

Project: Construct a four-lane roadway with a center median on Kelly Lane and incorporate four roundabout intersections from Moorlynch Avenue to Weiss Lane. Construction includes curb and gutter, underground storm facilities, pedestrian improvements and street lighting.

Update: Project design is 45% complete and the project is expected to go to bid this summer.
