The Travis County Tax Office in Pflugerville will reopen in August following a nine-month closure for renovations.

The details

Located on Foothill Farms Loop, the tax office closed Nov. 6, 2024 for remodeling and expansion. These updates will help the facility “better serve the growing community,” according to a county news release.

The update

The Pflugerville location will reopen Aug. 1, marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony that morning. Until then, residents can continue to utilize other Travis County tax services.

For vehicle registration renewal, owners can use the state online portal as well as certain H-E-B, AAA or Brookshire Brothers locations. Homeowners can pay property taxes on the county site through eCheck, which has a $1 fee.

Pflugerville residents can also use Austin tax office locations during the closure. The East Austin location at 4705 Heflin Ln. is a drive-thru only service and provides vehicle registration renewals, disabled parking plates and placards, temporary plates and property tax payments.
