The city of Pflugerville as well as Travis and Williamson counties will provide Christmas tree recycling as the holiday season wraps up.

Overview

The city of Pflugerville’s Recycle Center will accept Christmas trees for recycling on the following days:
  • Dec. 27, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Dec. 28, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Dec. 30, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
All ornaments, tinsel and decorations should be removed from trees dropped off at the Recycle Center. The center, located at 15500 Sun Light Near Way, will only accept natural trees. For Pflugerville residents placing their trees on the curbside, which will not be recycled, trees should be cut to less than four feet in length.

Travis County will also open five drop-off sites for residents to recycle their trees, from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Dec. 26-Jan. 12.



The Williamson County Landfill will also accept Christmas trees for recycling until Jan. 4, 2025. Located at 600 Landfill Road in Hutto, the site will accept trees for free as long as all lights and ornaments are removed. Flocked trees will not be accepted.
