Phase 2 of construction along Kelly Lane in Pflugerville will begin Jan. 10.

What you need to know

Road work, stretching from Falcon Pointe Boulevard to Moorlynch Avenue, will require the closure of Vilamoura Street, which is expected to remain closed until May.

The city anticipates keeping traffic lanes along Kelly Lane open throughout construction.

Phase 2 construction is expected to be done by January 2025, which will widen the existing two-lane roadway to four lanes and include a roundabout at Vilamoura Street.

Funding for Kelly Lane improvements comes from voter-approved 2018 and 2020 general obligation bonds. Community Impact previously reported construction costs are estimated at $14.9 million for Phase 2.

Looking ahead

The next component of improvements—Phase 3—will continue road work from Moorlynch Avenue to Weiss Lane and include realignment plans for the intersection of Kelly Lane and Cele Road, as well as Weiss Lane and Hodde Lane.

Plans also indicate a 10-foot shared-use path in each direction for bicyclists and pedestrians. More updates regarding Kelly Lane improvement projects can be found here.
