A variety of celebrations will be held in Pflugerville and Hutto for Memorial Day, Juneteenth and the Fourth of July. Check out this list of events happening around the area.

Memorial Day Pfest

A community cookout and event honoring Memorial Day will be held at the Pflugerville Lions Club. The event will include a raffle with prizes such as a Yeti cooler, 75-inch TV, charcoal grill and more. Beef and chicken fajitas will be available to those who purchase meal tickets.Heroes Day Parade

The city of Hutto will have a Memorial Day parade, from Hutto Middle School to Hutto City Hall, to show appreciation for military personnel and first responders.Memorial Day Ceremony

A ceremony honoring veterans, hosted by VFW Post 8787, will be held at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.Environmental Cleanup Day


The city of Pflugerville will host its annual cleanup day to encourage residents to recycle and properly dispose of certain items. Meant for city of Pflugerville residents only, the city’s public works department will be set up across the street from Brookhollow Elementary School to receive a range of items, including electronics, furniture, vehicle batteries, document shredding, appliances and more.Memorial Day: Remember and Honor event

The Round Rock Veteran’s Coalition and city of Round Rock will host a Memorial Day ceremony to honor and remember fallen members of the military. Major General Michael McCurry and Alain Babin, Army veteran and former assistant chief of the Round Rock Police Department, will serve as guest speakers. Light refreshments will be served immediately following the ceremony.Emo Night

Rockabilly Brewing will hold a Friday the 13th Emo Night. Taking Back Funday, a 2000s pop punk and emo cover band, will perform at the brewery.Juneteenth Celebration: Rock the Block

The Peterson Brothers will perform in downtown Pflugerville to celebrate Juneteenth. Food vendors will be available and families are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets for a night of entertainment.18th Annual Lake Pflugerville Triathlon


The annual triathlon includes a 500-meter swim in Lake Pflugerville, followed by a 13.2-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run around the lake. The race also has options for Olympic distance participants and relay participants. Registration must be completed by June 26.10th Annual Chris Kelley Memorial 5K

The Chris Kelley Foundation, a nonprofit organization recognizing Hutto Police Department Sgt. Chris Kelley, will host its 5K at Brushy Creek Amphitheater in Hutto. This year the 5K will take place in the evening. After the run, the event will have food trucks, vendor booths, live music and children activities.Guadalupe River float for adults

The city of Pflugerville will bring adults 18 and older to the Guadalupe River for a float trip. After the float, participants will eat lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the Pflugerville Recreation Center. Registration is required.Juneteenth 4th Annual Freedom March and Festival

The Juneteenth festival will feature live music, line dancing, horse rides and a variety of food vendors. The event will pay homage to figures such as Stagecoach Mary, Adam Orgain, Bill Picket and Bass Reeves.Red White and Boom
