Concerts, annual festivals, car shows and more will be held in Pflugerville, Hutto and the surrounding area through October and into early November. Check out this list of upcoming things to do.

1. The BBQ Thing

The Rotary Club of Round Rock will host its annual barbecue cook off and fundraiser, with competitions for best pork ribs, beef brisket and chicken. This year the event will also include steak, blood mary and margarita competitions. The event will also have live music, a silent auction, raffle and cash bar.

2. Music in the Park

The Pflugerville Parks and Recreation will host an outdoor concert, featuring Selena tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda, at Pfluger Park. Residents are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets and pets for an evening of live music.3. Kalahari Food & (Not Just) Wine Festival

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock will host its annual festival showcasing the resort’s dining options as well as local and national beverage brands. The event will include cooking demonstrations, live entertainment, raffles and a silent auction.4. Pflugerville LibraryCon 2024




The Pflugerville Public LIbrary will host its annual LibraryCon, bringing together authors and artists to celebrate the world of comics, anime, cosplay and gaming. The event includes a cosplay contest.5. Water conservation discussion

A discussion among water conservation panelists, including representatives from the Water Conservation Division of Austin Water, Travis County Commissioners Court and the Texas Water Journal, will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Austin. Topics include the state of Austin’s water demands and what can be done to ensure those are met.6. 39th annual Hutto Olde Tyme Days

The Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual festival features live music, food trucks, a car show, a pie eating contest and over 100 vendors set up in downtown Hutto.7. Deutschen Pfest

The city of Pflugerville will hold its 48th Deutschen Pfest at Pfluger Park. The festival to celebrate German culture features shopping booths, live music, a stein holding contest, a pretzel eating contest and other activities.

8. Family Campout Night




The Hutto Parks and Recreation Department will host a family campout at Adam Orgain Park. The campout will include demonstrations by the Boy Scouts of America, s’mores, a movie screening and other activities.9. VW Harvest Car Show

An event dedicated to Volkswagen vehicles will be held at the Brushy Creek Amphitheater in Hutto. The festival features group cruises, a car show, a twinkie-eating contest, swap meet and other activities. According to the organizer, it’s the largest VM car show in Texas, with over 300 classic Volkswagens in attendance.10. Williamson County Fair and Rodeo

The county fair will feature carnival rides, rodeo events, a petting zoo, pig races, the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, live music and other entertainment. Attendees will find a beer and wine garden as well as a variety of food vendors. Families get in free on the first day of the fair.11. Rock climbing at Reimers Ranch

The Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a day for adults 18 and older to climb limestone cliffs at Milton Reimers Ranch Park. Local climbing guides and necessary equipment will be on hand to help guide beginners and experts. Transportation will be provided and the group will eat lunch at a local restaurant. Registration is required.12. PAWS Trunk or Treat




The Pflugerville Animal Shelter will host a trunk or treat, inviting locals to visit the shelter in costume, collect candy and enjoy Halloween activities.13. 1214 YAR Music Festival

An Asian music festival will be held at the Round Rock Amp. A variety of musicians will perform, including Agnez Mo, Justin Park, KIRE, North Star Boys and more. The event will also feature a night market with a range of food vendors.

14. 2024 Veterans Day 5K

The annual fun run to show appreciation for the military service members will be held at Lake Pflugerville. Organized by Evolution of Health, the group is also collecting toys for Toys for Tots and food for the Round Rock Area Serving Center. Those who register will received a T-shirt, bib and finisher medal.
