Incumbents James Matlock and Amy English will remain on the Hutto ISD board of trustees, unofficial polling results from the May 4 election shows.

Community Impact has called this race with all precincts reporting.

In a nutshell

Matlock and English led with 34.5% and 31.93% of votes, respectively. They are followed by challengers Amanda Barron with 13.88% of ballots cast, Ashley Rendon with 11.83% of ballots cast and Zenaida Martinez with 7.87% of ballots cast.

English also thanked the community for electing her to serve a second term on the board.

Residents of Hutto ISD cast ballots to determine which two candidates will serve on the board of trustees for the next three years in at-large seats in the May 4 election.

Early voting information was reported after 7 p.m., representing ballots cast April 22-30, and showing incumbents James Matlock and Amy English leading.

The specifics

The two top vote-getters will fill the seats, per district policy. Early polling data shows Matlock and English leading with 35.86% and 32.55% of votes, respectively. They are followed by challengers Amanda Barron with 14.38% of ballots cast, Ashley Rendon with 10.34% of ballots cast and Zenaida Martinez with 6.87% of ballots cast.
