Community members interested in learning more about serving on the Hutto ISD board of trustees can do so at an upcoming information session.

What you need to know

On Jan. 11, the board of trustees called an election to fill two seats with terms set to expire in May. These two board seats, occupied by trustees James Matlock and Amy English, are up for re-election in May. Candidates elected to each seat will serve for three years.

Board President Billie Logiudice and board Secretary Shannon Jacobs will lead an information session for potential candidates 9-10 a.m. Jan. 27 in the Hutto ISD board room inside the district's central administration office at 200 College St., Hutto. The meeting will be available for livestreaming and will be posted afterward for those who cannot attend in person.

The filing period for candidacy in the May 4 board election opened Jan. 17 and will close Feb. 16 at 5 p.m., and Feb. 20 is the deadline to file a declaration of write-in candidacy.
