Work will take place this summer on renovations to four Pflugerville ISD campuses in connection with the district's bond package approved last November.

The campuses in question for this round of renovations are Caldwell Elementary, Delco Elementary, Northwest Elementary and Kelly Lane Middle School.

At a May 18 meeting, the PfISD board of trustees approved three contracts totaling $1.6 million for new flooring, ceiling tile and paint at the campuses.

Funding for the renovations specifically comes from the $190.28 million Proposition C, which also includes security upgrades and renovations to several more PfISD campuses.

Three different firms will handle different parts of the renovations—21st Century Painting will perform painting at all four campuses, while Flooring Solutions and One Source Commercial Flooring will install flooring and ceiling tiles at two campuses each.

"We decided to divide the work up across a number of vendors in an effort to both save costs and to not overwhelm one firm with doing all the work across four different sites," Chief Operations Officer Victor Valdez said.

Valdez said the renovations are expected to be complete by the end of the summer.
