Numerous construction projects underway throughout Pflugerville ISD continue to advance.

During a facilities update at a Feb. 17 regular meeting, Brandon Cardwell, the district's executive director of facilities and construction, provided information on projects, including Bohls Middle School, the Weiss High School agriculture barn and Hidden Lake Elementary School.

Bohls Middle School, at which students began matriculating Jan. 5, is now 98% complete, and Cardwell said remaining work largely involves outside construction such as canopies, sidewalks and landscaping.

Hidden Lake Elementary School, which the PfISD board renamed from Elementary School No. 23 in December, is about 35% complete, and Cardwell said work is ongoing for the concrete masonry unit wall between the school's gym and outdoor basketball court as well as for door frames and exterior metal framing.

District information states concrete overlay for the Weiss agriculture barn is complete, but recent rains delayed fence installation, and the project should be finished by the end of February.
