Pflugerville ISD officials have approved a new GPS tracking app through which district parents may track their children's bus routes in real time.

A Dec. 13 news release from PfISD states the Stopfinder app, which is now in use by 15 district schools and will be in all schools by January, is already on all 191 of the district's buses.

“We’re aware that parents are concerned about the safety of their children when they’re away at school,” District Transportation Director Michael Brassfield said in the release. “As well as providing efficiencies in our bus operations, this app will help ease some stress for our parents. This is a service we’re glad to be able to provide.”

District information states transportation officials provide parents invitations to download the app and view their child's bus as it is en route.
